“The Widow Squad is a safe space to share authentically about your grief experience, and to receive support. It is helpful to hear from those who have been on this path longer and to see that there is hope. Melissa, Kim, and Jen really care about the community they have created and bring their own experiences to contribute, as well as bringing in additional resources. There have been workshops with guest speakers on organization, finances, creating a vision board, a book club, etc. There are also multiple meetings each month that are just for the members only. It is such a normal response to feel disconnected in widowhood, and it is a relief to find a group that understands the changed life you are now living.”
